"The
World of Wigs, Weaves & Extensions"
"The
image of Cleopatra would be incomplete without the striking
geometric lines of her bangs and the straight ends of the
bobbed wig in which she is commonly depicted."

The World of Wigs, Weaves and Extensions
Toni
loves hair! And lucky for us she does. As the author of the #4
pick on the Barnes & Nobles web site, The World of Wigs,
Weaves & Extensions (Milady Publishing) it's obvious her
passion is appreciated by more than just a few. A
multicultural tome, written for "anyone with hair,"
her book is a valuable one-stop for anyone dealing with the
daily drama of hair woes. In less than 200 pages, she covers
everything you ever wanted to know about hair and hair care,
but didn't know who to ask!
"There's
a chapter for men, sections on skin and scalp problems, all
kinds of suggestions for women, with weaves, wigs and even
natural hair, and also tips for children's hair. It's a book
for people who want versatility with their look,"
explains Love. "If hair is our crowning glory, then its
care is imperative to our overall well being."
A master
cosmetologist, with degrees in business management, continuing
education and psychology, even, Love understands the necessity
of looking good to feel good. One of the nation's most
advanced training institutions, Dudley Cosmetology University,
recognized her talent and recently selected her as their
Director of Continuing Education in Kernersville, NC. There,
amongst her many duties, she teaches a course named after her
book.
A native
of Greensboro, Alabama, Love first came to the attention of
Milady Publishing, after she authored her first book, Tips to
Pass the Cosmetology State Board Exam. The book was such a
success that it caught the publishing house's attention and
they encouraged her to write a book for them. She is also a
contributing writer to Milady's Standard Textbook of
Cosmetology.
An
eight-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, Love is the
recipient of numerous awards. She's traveled extensively,
including trips to London, England where she served as the
International Commentator for Hawaiian Silky Products. A
former platform stylist and educator for Sally's Beauty
Supply, Love has worked and performed at most major trade
shows, including Proud Lady in Chicago, Bronner Brothers in
Atlanta, and International Beauty Show in New York.
The
World of Wigs, Weaves and Extensions is a viable tool, not
only for its factual information on the subject of wigs,
hairpieces, hair extensions, and overall hair care, but also
for its valuable history lesson on the subject of hair
throughout the ages. As a dedicated instructor and
knowledgeable artist, with extensive experience in every facet
of cosmetology, The World of Wigs, Weaves and Extensions
reveals Toni Love to be a leading authority on the topic of
hair. For more information, or booking inquiries, hit her site
