Ok its me
again with yet another edition of the HOTT SHOT model of the
month. Man I tell you it just keeps gettin better and better!
As the summer heats up who better to get it hott in hurr then
Houston's finest Zsaquez?
Let me tell you that Zsaquez is the kind of woman that you
wanna call home and tell your folks about. Man I tell you I
get so excited when I find a woman that has it all, brains,
beauty, and ambition. I recently had the opportunity to
pick her brain and I know you'll enjoy what she has to
say.
Jay: When did you know that you wanted to be a model?
Zsaquez: The first time I saw Beverly Johnson on the
cover of a magazine…
Jay: How did you get started in the biz?
Zsaquez: A photographer in Houston, Doss Tidwell,
approached me, asking to take my photos for his site Models of
713. I didn’t think I was ready to jump back in the game but
he made me realize that I still had it!
Jay: Who are your influences?
Zsaquez: Tomika Skanes…I like her because she models,
but does so many other things as well. She owns her own
business, has an education, and always conducts herself like a
lady in her photos and appearances. She and other models like
Nicole Ricca, Melyssa Ford and Sincerely Ward show the world
that sexy does not mean stupid and beauty can be synonymous
with brains.
Jay: What is your proudest moment
professionally/personally?
Zsaquez: Personally-graduating from college.
Professionally- As a writer: the first time my work was
published As a model-when my children saw one of my photos
that I was very nervous for them to see (it was very sexy) and
neither one of them even noticed the sexy pose and said in
unison "mommy you look beautiful". It made me feel
good to know that I was not compromising myself and my
children’s image of me, by taking sexy pics. As a model, one
may often struggle with establishing their limits and not
crossing that fine line between sexy and over the top. I like
to show a little but always leave something to the
imagination. Everything always seems a little better when it
leaves you wanting more don’t you think?
Jay: What type of modeling are you looking to do?
Zsaquez: Print/editorial, Internet, calendars, music
videos, promotional/spokesperson, etc. I feel like I am too
short and goofy for runway, but I get offers all the time! I
want to do some acting as well, both television and movies.
Jay: What type of work will you refuse to do?
Zsaquez: Nudity, Pornographic, Erotic…anything that I
think might depict me in a negative light. Implied nudity is
about as far as I will go…maybe artistic nude, but it will
have to be done very tastefully, if so.
Jay: How have you managed to keep working over the
years?
Zsaquez: Actually I stopped modeling for a very long
time and worked in other areas, I went to college, started my
own business and began pursuing a career as a
journalist…right now I am doing a lot of freelance writing.
I started modeling again just recently thanks to Doss.
Jay: What's on the horizon?
Zsaquez: I just worked with Dewayne Darden the man
behind the infamous Summerbunnies. He is a great photographer
and I can’t wait to work with him again. Be on the look out
for those pictures and visit the Summerbunnies site…there
are some awesome models featured on there! Look out for my
website and calendar in the future as well!
Jay: Any words of advice?
Zsaquez: Be true to yourself and make sure you are
comfortable with everything that you do, so that you will
never have any regrets. It is very hard to live down a bad
decision in this industry because pictures, videos, etc.
immortalize you, they are permanent and once you do something
that you don’t like you may have to have a reminder of your
bad judgment for a long time!
Thank you for the opportunity!
