From
the heart of Inglewood, California a new talent has surfaced
bringing a multi-facet sound that will be engaging to the ear by
the name of Duckburgundy. Duckburgundy better known as ‘Duck’
to close friends and family hails from the ‘Road Dawgs’ also
out of Inglewood. Fusing hip-hop/rap and r&b, Duckburgundy
seamlessly raps across the hottest of beats while never losing his
niche of the westcoast vibe.
Duck started rapping in the mid 1990's and
after incessant urging of friends and family, he finally released
his first CD entitled “Big City Playboy Pretty”. This set
includes twenty three tracks that take you on a trip into the
mental psyche of a humble man who admittedly has seen and done a
great deal and uses music to engage listeners into his world.
Duck's primary goal with the release is to set himself apart with
his lyrical content and smooth beats.
Although thrilled with the release, Duck's
realistic point of view of the entertainment industry is
revealing. After working with the likes of Dr.Dre and Kay-Gee from
Naughty by Nature one would tend to believe they have 'arrived';
but Duck recognizes that it takes time and hard work to stay in
the mix. One of his greatest thrills to date is remembering when
he first heard his music while hanging out in the neighborhood
from someone driving by.
Future goals include branching into other
areas of the entertainment industry beginning with managing other
up and coming talent who would benefit from his expertise, a
clothing line and continuing to make great music.
